Massive Open Online Course

The International Security Management MOOC is a learning tool offered by RSM – Erasmus University Rotterdam and developed within the ISM-KA project in line with the development of the Master that will contribute to the education of a broader audience.

It serves as a platform for baseline cultural shift for training and education in safety and security for an outreach to the wider public. A case-based teaching and a problem-based learning approach is adopted, where students can develop skills such as analytic thinking and critical reflection in responding to scenarios and problems based on real-life case studies. Both organisations and individuals not able or willing to commit to a full Master Programme can benefit from participating in the ISM MOOC.

A teaching programme approximately covering 7 weeks has been designed to allow users to learn more about the diverse international security landscape and gain insights into challenging topics including Open Source Intelligence, serious organised crime and illicit trade.
