Jan. 27 – Check Point Software Technologies Ltd. published last week its annual report on Cyber Security.
The report shows how cybercriminals attack organizations worldwide: no matter the level of cybersecurity implemented by these organizations, the report states, none of them is immune to cyberattacks.
The major techniques used were analyzed:
cryptomining, a low-risk, high-reward activity for cybercriminals, faces a smooth decline but is still one of the most common activity;
botnets grew in dimension;
despite the small number of attacks, targeted ransomware attacks became exceptionally strong;
the percentage of mobile attacks reduces;
the number and strength of the attacks to cloud infrastructures raises.
