6 March – TikTok made public that Roland Cloutier, leader of the technology pundit and security industry, would join the organization as CISO (Chief Information Security Officer).
Cloutier will join TikTok from ADP (Automatic Data Processing Inc.) where he served as the Chief Security Officer and managed the company’s global cyber, information protection, risk, employee protection, crisis management and security investigative operations.
He has more than 30 years of working experience in cybersecurity and law enforcement, and represented the U.S. Air Force, Department of Defence and Department of Veterans Affairs for more than 10 years. Cloutier served as a private-sector consultant as well as senior corporate executive at several technology sector organisations, according to his term in military and government service.
Cloutier said, “It is a privilege to join TikTok’s talented team as the company continues its amazing journey of building a vibrant global community. There has never been a more exciting or challenging time to serve in the security field. I am looking forward to working with my new colleagues at TikTok to develop the solutions required to protect our hundreds of millions of users and creators around the world.”
Apart from his working experience, Cloutier has also published author of different articles on various security topics, along with a book, “Becoming a Global Chief Security Officer,”.
