British security minister James Brokenshire refused the allegations accusing the government of avoiding to determine if Russia interfered with 2016 EU referendum, adding the government have adopted measures to cope with any threat from Moscow.

Brokenshire told lawmakers on Wednesday: “we categorically reject any suggestion that the UK actively avoided investigating Russia”.

He also added: “we are unafraid to act wherever necessary to protect the UK and our allies from any state threat”.
