Putin’s opposer blocked in Siberian hospital after alleged poisoning attempt

Aug. 21 – Alexei Navalny, strong opposer of Vladimir Putin, is in life danger after having drunk a tea on Thursday morning. According to his allies, Russian authorities are blocking his medical evacuation to Germany on Friday – where he could have better medical care compared with the under-equipped Siberian hospital where he is now under treatment – increasing the risk of a worsening of his health conditions.

His spokeswoman, Kira Yarmysh, and his wife, Julija Navalnaya, are keeping asking for help through social media and international press. They do not trust the medical equipe who is taking care of Navalny and strongly push to get him out of the hospital in Omsk, Siberia and from the whole Russia.

Furthermore, Anatoly Kalinichenko, deputy head doctor at the Omsk hospital, said tests had found no traces of poison and denied to disclose the full diagnosis. According to Navalny’s allies, another big concern is that they are delaying the transfer to make the traces of the poison vanish.
